Help in Selling my books to raise money for "The Constance Joan Schneider Conte ALS Group Inc. that provides money for caregivers to hire someone to obtain short periods of relief from caregiving. Also to pay for a doctor to visit a homebound ALS patient. This program is first of all for ALS patients in the U.S. and Canada and secondly for other patients with life threatening illnesses. To date we have financially assisted a number of caregivers, paid a mortgage payment, put in a heating system, provided a TTY phone for an ALS patient, put in four tube wells to serve fresh water to 768 families in India, arranged transportation for an ALS patient, provided a 52" inch TV Theater and Wii to a retirement home. While serving needy ALS patients and caregivers, we are trying to raise money to bring fresh bottled water to some of the 43% of Appalachians without fresh water. Donations are welcome, buying books (tax deductible) and giving monetary contributions provides immediate funds to help people. We keep no money in the bank and no salaries or expenses are paid for by the foundation.
